Willene and Michael’s Cape Town Wedding
This gorgeous pair tied the knot right on top of a building in the heart of the Cape Town CBD, at the beautiful and sleek Rooftop on Bree.
They told me that their wedding would be a more casual cocktail style affair, as opposed to a formal sit down dinner, and indeed – Â it was the best choice for them and their guests – everyone had a fantastic time: less time spent eating, more time spent dancing!
But let’s rewind a little to earlier in the day – Willene was the first BRIDE I had that had her own cigar (normally the guys have these) and I just love that she is such a unique woman! We certainly didn’t let the opportunity pass to get her right in the bathtub with her bubbles and her cigar before getting dress – I think it made for some really cool, fun and one-of-a-kind photo’s!
The guys got ready at the spectacular Hotel Sky with it’s glitzy decor – which lent itself to no shortage for amazing photography.
Back at Rooftop on Bree, the ceremony commenced. The officiant incorporated a ceremony that I’ve never seen prior to this wedding, but thought it was just so intimate and beautiful: A small bowl with luxury soap and water was placed at the altar, where the couple proceeded to gently wash each other’s hands in a very intimate, and very emotional moment – how special is that?
The bridal party and the couple headed down to the Bo-Kaap with me for some wedding photo’s by the world famous colourful houses. We then headed back to the venue as they were dying to get that party going!
This wedding combined class with a laid-back atmosphere and it made for a kickass combo!
