Salome and Pieter Wedding
This wedding has been one of my favourites to be a part of, mostly due to the couple being such carefree and warm people! Salomé and Pieter compliment each other so beautifully and are undoubtedly a match made in heaven!
The day started at a family-friend’s farm in Stellenbosch where the bride and groom both got ready in separate rooms of the manor house. The atmosphere was super light and the bride was just an air of calm excitement (if that makes sense) – even when they had difficulty with her dress at first.
This free-spirited pair held their wedding ceremony in the beautiful and statuesque Moedergemeente Church in Stellenbosch.
They didn’t want “traditional” wedding photo’s and asked to just sort of “venture” through the streets of Stellenbosch, followed by yours truly, and capturing real moments as they unfold. I loved this concept and it worked beautifully! Over the course of their little adventure, they had romantic photo’s on a bar counter, got invited into an art gallery and offered bubbly, and got invited to stranger’s table at a random restaurant and joined the table for a shot – on the happy couple! They got cornered by tourists in the street and we captured joyful images of them just having fun together. This made for one happy wedding photographer!
After this, we headed back to the farm where a dreamy outdoor reception awaited them for a night filled with laughter and dancing.
